CARL LYNN MOORE, SR.

April 18, 1954 - October 23, 2025

After a valiant fight with multiple health issues Carl was called home October 23, 2025. Carl was born in Bakersfield, CA, April 18, 1954, to Rufus and Jacquelyn Moore. He was their second child and joined sister Tari and a year later would be the big brother to sister Vickie Jo. In 1958 his parents divorced and Carl stayed with his mother.

In 1963 Carl would move to live with his dad, and mother Barbara in Las Vegas and join sisters Ginny and Jody. They became a blended family. The family moved to Pahrump in June 1966 and have lived in the community since then.

After high school and a year of college he married Julia Floyd. They have four sons, Carl Jr, (Nicole), Nicholas (Charese), Shaun, and Michael. After successfully raising their sons together Carl and Julia divorced.

Carl worked many years at the Nevada Test Site as a heavy duty mechanic. When he got home from the test site, he assisted Julie in the Ace Hardware Store until two full time jobs got to be too much and he went to work full-time at Ace. Later he moved to Texas and became an over the road trucker. During this time, he deepened his relationship with God, and upon returning to Pahrump, he dedicated himself to what was most important to him, strengthening his faith and reconnecting with his sons and grandchildren.

Carl was blessed with six wonderful grandchildren for him to love; they are Kasen, Kamden, and Avery from Nick and Charese, and Zack, Chase, and Matthew from CJ and Nicole. Like their father his sons have grown to be devoted husbands and fathers.

Carl met and married Diana Espinosa in church. He happily added her two sons Joevany, and Adrian, and daughter Jessica to the children of his heart along with a granddaughter Coraline.

Carl is survived by his wife Diana, his children and siblings Tari Edmonds, Ginny Simer, Vickie Arnold, Jody Loving, and Jeanette Payne along with multiple grandchildren, nieces and nephews who cherish his memory.

Services will be held at the Pahrump Community Church in the new building on West Street in Pahrump, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
