It is with heavy hearts and smiles for the memories she gave us that

we announce the passing of Cecilia Anne Duffy, age 76, who left us on 12 January 2026. A woman of bound-less energy and a youthful heart, she proved that age is truly just a number.While her passing was quiet and serene, the life she lived was anything but quiet,it was a symphony of laughter, colorful yarn, and a spirit that refused to grow old.

Cecilia dedicated her professional life to the care of others. As a retired caregiver, she had a gift for connecting with people at their most vulnerable. She didn't just provide care; she provided "the best medicine" her infectious smile and a sense of humor that

could brighten the darkest room.

She was the widow of the late John D Duffy, with whom she shared many beautiful years. In her later years, she found wonderful companionship and happiness with her partner, Robert Vellone. Together, they shared a life defined by friendship, road trips and

simple pleasures.

Her legacy of love lives on through her children Pao, William, Martha and Timothy Duffy.

She was perhaps most proud of her role as a grandmother. She leaves behind three granddaughters. She was the "fun" grandma the one who always had a joke ready, a twinkle in her eye, and a youthful spirit that made her feel more like a peer than a matriarch.

If you knew Cecilia, you likely own something she crocheted. Whether it was a blanket or scarf, every loop was made with someone specific in mind. She spent her quiet hours creating warmth for others, often while sharing a laugh or planning her next bit of mischief. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her constant smile, and the way she made everyone feel like the most important person in the room.
