Pahrump, NV - Diana O. Collins

Diana Collins, 82, of Pahrump, Nevada, passed away on February 18, 2026. She was born on August 11, 1943, in Laredo, Texas, where she grew up and attended school with her siblings. Following a few adventures after high school, she met and married Kenneth Collins in 1965. They were married for 40 years, until his death in 2006.

She was a dedicated Air Force spouse and worked hard to make the most of each assignment the family received. She made friends easily, with her happy, generous nature. Diana was completely devoted to her children, Jennifer and Kenneth Jr. She was a loving, caring, and fun mother who always supported her children unconditionally. Kenneth and Diana retired from the Air Force to Pahrump, NV, in 1984. Diana took a job at the elementary school, putting her bilingual skills to use, helping children and families for several years. She started a new chapter in her life when she became a grandmother to her only grandchild, Julia, in 2008. She took the role to heart and was so proud to be her grandmother.

If you were fortunate enough to know Diana, you know what a wonderful person she was. She was kind, loving, patient, and witty. She made everyone she came in contact with feel special. She was quick with a compliment to all, and she would leave you feeling uplifted. She had a passion for the cinema and fashion, and was always put together with her cool, casual style. Her deep love for animals was evident throughout her life and gave her much joy.

Diana is survived by her devoted son and his partner, Kenneth Collins, Jr. and Penny DeBuque; beloved daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jeffrey Steere, and granddaughter, Julia; dear siblings: her sisters Theresa Dominguez and Sara Perrydore, brother Jesus Serna; and a host of cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

No services were held. Her spirit will continue on through her family and friends who were touched by her kindness, thoughtfulness, and strength.

She will be deeply missed.
