EVAN LEON WILSON

May 16, 1946 - February 7, 2025

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Evan L Wilson, who left us on February 7, 2025 at the age of 78. He was born May 16, 1946 in Escondido, CA. Evan was the son of Ralph Dewitt Wilson and Edna Madine Wilmoth; both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Shelly Wilson; two daughters, Leslie Rae and Samantha Dewitt; three grandchildren, Andre, Riley, and Knox; two brothers and a sister, Dean, Mike, and Karen; and by his loving dogs, Sweetie, Axle, and Max.

If I could pick a scripture that described my loving husband, it would be Corinthians 13: 4-7; love is patient and kind; love is not jealous, boastful, proud, or rude; it does not demand its own way; It is not irritable and keeps no record of injustices; but rejoices whenever truth wins out; love never gives up, never loses faith; its always hopeful and endures through every circumstance.

Evan will be extremely missed by all who knew him; his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He has blessed many people through his talents given to him by God. Evan was fearless, riding his motorcycles throughout his life. He was always aware of God's presence and had no secrets from God, with whom he would talk to as if God were there next him through all things.

We will see you again, Evan! We will remember your love of adventure, your great imagination, and your constant and natural ability to create what you envisioned in your mind's eye. You marched to the beat of your own drum; you changed the world just by being yourself.
