JAMES ALAN GARDNER

June 5, 1956 - April 2, 2026

James Alan Gardner, born June 5, 1956 in Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away April 2, 2026 at the age of 69 in Pahrump, Nevada. Due to

Jim's Father's government employment, Jim lived in several towns before moving to Pahrump: Collbran, Colorado where he learned to fish and caught many Rainbow trout; Fontenelle, Wyoming where the school bus ride was 45 miles one way and the wind blew all the time; Pueblo, Colorado graduating from Pueblo South High School in 1974. He attended Southern Colorado State College (now CSU Pueblo). Jim was employed by the National Railroad Transportation Center as a computer technician before moving to Pahrump in 1991. There, he met Judy Yowell and they were together for 20 years, until her passing in 2015. Jim worked as the lead computer technician at Terrible's Roadhouse Casino. In 2019 Jim met his girlfriend, Vickie and they enjoyed many adventures together. Jim was a kind and giving man, delivering food boxes each week with Vickie for New Hope church. Jim will also be greatly missed by his "feline son" Raven who adored Jim as we all did.

Survived by parents Stanley and Charlene Gardner, cousins Richard, Charles and Fred Dodd, nephew Alan M. Gray and family, niece Vicki Nelson and family, girlfriend Vickie Zamzow and family, and brother-in-law John W. Gray. Predeceased by sister Rita Gardner Gray, cousin Dr. J. Robert Dodd and Judy Yowell.

Per Jim's request no funeral services will be held. A private family gathering will be held in Colorado later this summer.
