Pahrump, NV - James Carlo Medici was born in Mesa, Arizona, March 5, 1932, to Mary and Charles Medici. He moved to Nevada at the age of nine with his family where he fell in love with the wildlife, desert, and mountain views. Jim raised a family with his first wife Roseann in Las Vegas and he spent many days hunting and camping in Central and Eastern Nevada, or fishing at Lake Mead in the "M-T Hook". He retired from IBEW Local 357, in 1994 and began his retirement with his second wife Carol at their homestead in Pahrump, where they spent their next 30 years enjoying team roping with his family, riding his horse Herc, and watching the quail, chipmunks, and hummingbirds from the back porch. When asked how he was his answer was always "Finer than frog hair."
He passed away July 25th at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Roseann (d. 1984), Daughter Tanya Stilwell and Granddaughter Dana Bailey (d.2004). He is survived by his wife Carol, sister Kathy Perkins (Tim), son James C Medici, II (Kim) of Pahrump, daughter Rosemary Cadwell (Glen d.2022), step-daughter Terri Kinnee-Olsen (Michael), Grandson James C. Medici, III (Qiana), Granddaughters Jessica Medici, Anne Bowers (David), Grandsons Troy Cadwell, John Cadwell, Great Grandchildren Hunter Medici (Kristen), Aidan Medici, Logan Klug, Chaise Cadwell, Colby Cadwell, Makayla Cadwell, Levi Cadwell, Blake Bowers, Karma Bowers, and Great-Great Grandson Floyd James Medici.
A private family memorial service will be held in the coming days.
