JANE SWOPE-HASTEN

December 3, 1948 - March 13, 2026

Jane Swope-Hasten of Pahrump, NV passed into the presence of her Lord at her home on the morning of March 13, 2026. She was born December 3, 1948 in Grove City, PA.

Jane earned her master degree from Syracuse University, and worked as head librarian at Kern County Library. She performed in the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra before retiring to Pahrump.

Jane was preceded into Glory by her parents Clair and Marie Swope, her husband Billie Joe Hasten and her brother Fred Swope.

She is survived by her sister Nancy Clark of Pahrump, nephew Tim Clark of Chicago, IL, nieces Cindy Poole of Dallas, TX and Wendy Clark of Hebron, CT; her stepdaughters Sandy Tarr of Streetsboro, OH, Kimberly Speer (husband James) of Barstow, CA. She also leaves behind grandchildren Lisa Hewitt of Streetsboro, Mark Thomas of Janesville, CA; Justin Speer, James Speer II, Jordan Speer - all of Barstow; and Kristin Alfaro of Cloquet, MN. Jane is survived by seven great-nephews and great-nieces, seven great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces, and ten great-grandchildren.

Jane was a true friend, gave sound, wise advice, and will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
