Pahrump, Nevada - Jessie Lee Schaffer, 99, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. She was born June 27, 1926, in New York City, New York, to the late Charles Jones and Mary Herlihy Jones.

On April 24, 1944, Jessie married the love of her life, John Schaffer. Their marriage was one of deep devotion and lasting love until his passing. Together they built a large and loving family that remained the center of Jessie's life.

Jessie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Schaffer; two sons, Robert Schaffer and Stanley Schaffer; one grandson, Thomas Reynolds; one granddaughter Bobbi Lynn Schaffer; two brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her children: Carol Flores, Rosemary Munoz, Katherine Diaz (Robert), Isabel Holt, Debby Felix (Aaron), Sandra Brownell (Robert), and Michael Schaffer. Jessie also leaves behind a large and cherished legacy including 17 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Jessie's life spanned nearly a century of love, strength, and devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the deep love she shared with her children and the generations of family who followed. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the many lives she touched.

Jessie was deeply devoted to her faith and was a longtime member of St. Martin's in the Desert Episcopal Church 631 W. Irene St Pahrump NV 89060 services will be held on April 11, 2026 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Jessie's name to the American Cancer Society or Blood Cancer United.
