Pahrump, NV - Luanne M. Hendricks, beloved mother, grandmother and wife passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at the age of 89.

Luanne was a thoughtful, funny, and kind woman who spent her life giving of herself to others. She was a dedicated nurse, a loving wife to her husband, Robert D. Hendricks, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She raised two sets of children and, alongside her many responsibilities, ran a successful daycare, opening her home and her heart to countless children over the years.

Luanne had a gift for making people feel cared for. She was an amazing cook and especially loved making the holidays memorable for her family. She went all out, filling her kitchen with more pies, cookies, and other homemade treats than anyone could possibly count. Her love was often expressed through the food she prepared, the people she welcomed, and the countless ways she quietly gave of herself.

She loved playing cards, especially poker, and enjoyed the laughter and company that came with a good game. Her sense of humor and warm personality brought joy to those around her.

Luanne battled dementia during the last few years of her life, but even through the challenges, she remained steadfastly positive. She almost always had a smile on her face, reminding everyone who loved her of the strength, kindness, and warmth that defined her.

Luanne leaves behind her sons, Robert(Lucia) D. Hendricks Jr. and Joseph(Ellen) Gilloti; and her grandchildren, Victoria Hendricks, Robert D. Hendricks III, Jacob Gilloti, Joel Gilloti, James Martin, and Amanda Martin and her great grandson Caleb Millar. She also leaves behind countless family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by her generosity and love.

Luanne was preceded in death by her husband Robert D Hendricks and her daughter, Cynthia Marie Hendricks, who passed away on July 31, 2026. Though their family was asked to say goodbye to two beloved women far too close together, their lives and memories will forever remain intertwined.

A joint memorial service honoring Luanne and her daughter Cynthia will be held on August 23rd at 1pm at Saved By Grace Lutheran Church in Pahrump, NV.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover final expenses.

Luanne's life was one of service, love, laughter, and giving. She leaves behind a legacy not only in the family she raised, but in every person she cared for and every life she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
