Pahrump, Nevada - Our sweet, beautiful Margene has set off on her next great adventure.

Born in Blackfoot, Idaho, in 1937, Margene grew up on a farm, though she often joked that she never cared much for the cold weather or potatoes. After graduating, she wasted no time leaving Idaho behind to pursue a life filled with opportunity, adventure, and new experiences.

Margene lived a remarkable life and embraced every chapter with enthusiasm. Over the years, she held many different professions, each reflecting her adventurous spirit and determination. At one point she ran a carnival, and later earned her CDL and drove semi-trucks across the United States, seeing much of the country she loved so dearly.

A gifted artist, Margene poured her heart into everything she created. She taught tole painting classes and crafted beautiful cross-stitch pieces that her family will treasure for generations. Her artwork stands as a lasting legacy of her creativity, patience, and love.

In 2004, Margene moved to Pahrump, Nevada, with her beloved partner, Thomas. There she built a wide circle of cherished friends through her involvement in community organizations, including TOPS, the Red Hat Rabble Rousers, and the organization she was most proud to belong to, the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also an avid bowler and could always be found participating in a bowling league.

Margene was proud of her country and her beliefs. She was a devoted Republican who passionately supported the causes and leaders she believed in.

Above all else, Margene's greatest joy was her family. She was the proud mother of seven children, three of whom preceded her in death. She leaves behind four children, sixteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren, along with countless friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Margene brought light into every room she entered with her bright smile, warm heart, and delightfully sassy attitude. We will miss her impromptu gatherings, where she happily cooked ribs for everyone who showed up. She never met a stranger and had an extraordinary gift for making friends wherever she went. Fiercely loyal and protective, she loved her family with all her heart and stood by them through every season of life.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing that she lived fully, loved deeply, and left behind a lifetime of treasured memories. Her laughter, kindness, creativity, and adventurous spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Margene's journey on earth has ended, but her next great adventure has just begun. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered
