Paul William Bigley III Obituary
Pahrump, NV - Paul William Bigley III, known simply as Paul or Dusty was born on January 9, 1959, in Rapid City, South Dakota, and passed away on April 18, 2026, peacefully in his sleep in Pahrump, Nevada, at the age of 67.Paul lived a life marked by humor, kindness, and love, and those who knew him will remember him for the quirky sense of humor he brought into every room. He was a man who could make people laugh with ease, who cared deeply for his family and friends, and who had a way of making ordinary moments feel special. His presence was steady and genuine, and his memory will remain a comfort to all who were fortunate enough to share in his life. Paul was a devoted husband to Jackie Bigley and a proud father and stepfather to Casandra Bowers, Calleen Winkler, and Evan Engel. He was a beloved grandfather to Darren Bowers, Samantha Johnson, Isacc Delavega, April Winkler, and Savanna Engel. He also held a special place in the hearts of his sister Lori Armstrong and youngest sister Janine Vega, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who loved him dearly. His family was the center of his world, and he treasured the relationships that gave his life meaning. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through each of them. Paul grew up with roots in Rapid City, South Dakota, and attended Eisenhower High School. He carried the values of hard work and responsibility throughout his life, and for 20 years he served as store manager of Pahrump Auto Parts/NAPA. In that role, he became known not only for his dedication and reliability, but also for the easy manner and good humor that made him a respected coworker and a familiar face in the community. He took pride in his work and in doing things the right way, and his long career reflected his strong character and commitment. Outside of work, Paul enjoyed a wide range of interests that reflected his curiosity and appreciation for the world around him. He loved National Geographic, history, Discovery, science, and nature, and he found enjoyment in learning about the wonders of the world. He liked playing darts, watching sports, and cheering for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. Classic rock was a favorite soundtrack to his life, and he also had simple pleasures he enjoyed without apology, including good food, sleep, and beer. These interests were part of what made Paul uniquely Paul, and they brought him joy throughout his life. Paul's spiritual nature was an important part of who he was, and it guided the way he lived and treated others. He was not one to complicate life unnecessarily. He valued honesty, loyalty, and the simple act of being present for the people he loved. His family and friends will remember his laughter, his quick wit, and the way he could lighten a mood with just a few words. He was funny, kind, and loving, and those qualities will remain at the heart of his memory.
