Homedale, ID - In Loving Memory of Sherry Ann Maxwell

With heavy hearts, we share that Sherry Ann Maxwell, age 51, passed away peacefully after a courageous two-year battle with breast cancer. Born in Las Vegas on April 12, 1974, Sherry had made her home in Homedale, Idaho, since 2005. Surrounded by love, she made the brave and selfless decision to enter hospice care, continuing to radiate joy, laughter, and positivity until her very last days.

Sherry was truly a ray of sunshine — a bright, beautiful soul whose presence could light up any room. She brought warmth, laughter, and kindness wherever she went, turning strangers into friends and friends into family. Thoughtful beyond measure, she had a gift for finding the perfect little way to brighten someone's day — a small token, a funny comment, or that signature smile that could lift anyone's spirits.

Even through her illness, Sherry remained full of life, humor, and hope. She never lost her sparkle or her sass, facing every challenge with courage, grace, and unwavering faith. Her strength inspired everyone who knew her, and her positivity reminded us all to find the good — to look at life through her "rose-colored glasses."

She had a heart big enough for everyone. Sherry loved deeply and gave freely — always showing compassion, equality, and acceptance. She adored her family beyond measure and took immense pride in being a devoted wife, mother, and Mimi.

Her husband and soulmate, Bill Maxwell, was the love of her life and her constant companion. For 20 wonderful years, they shared laughter, strength, and unshakable love through every season of life. Together, they cherished family, hunting, camping, and every moment spent outdoors, creating memories that reflected their deep bond and adventurous spirit

Sherry was endlessly proud of her children Coty, James (Kayla), Seth (Bryce), & JJ (Nichole) whose love and devotion brought her such happiness. Her grandsons, Westin, Walker, Dean and Curtis, were her heart's greatest joy — her "heartbeats," who kept her smiling and fighting every single day.

Sherry's greatest joys — aside from her beloved grandchildren — were spending time with her dogs, horses, and ponies. Her two Old English Bulldogs, Maxi "Mae-Mae" & Zeus were her constant companions and shadows, going wherever they could with her, though they especially loved their couch time by her side. She adored riding, grooming, and, of course, spoiling her horses and ponies as well. Sherry also loved crafting and creating thoughtful, custom gifts for those around her, always finding ways to make others smile. A wonderful cook, she enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen and even created her own spice blends to "share the wealth." She cherished the simple beauty of life, found peace in nature, loved family gatherings, and delighted in making others laugh. She had a rare gift for creating connection — for making everyone feel seen, loved, and valued.

Sherry has now joined her beloved father Burton E. Ford Sr., her brother Burton E. Ford Jr. (Brendi), her father-in-law Chuck Maxwell, and her Grandmother Nell Elizabeth Camp who all loved her dearly. We take comfort in knowing they are together again, watching over us with love and laughter.

She is survived by her loving husband Bill Maxwell; her children Coty Ford, James Legacie (Kayla), Seth (Bryce), JJ (Nichole); her adored grandsons Westin Lee, Walker William, Dean Charles, and Curtis James; her mothers Roberta Ford, & Sally Martin; her mother-in-law Wanda Maxwell, and her siblings, Charlie (Connie), Alan (Heidi), Danyelle (Ken), Christina (Josh), David, Stephanie (Troy), Jamie (Francis), and Jason (Bridget).

In keeping with Sherry's wishes, she will be cremated, and her family will hold a celebration of life in the spring or summer of next year, surrounded by loved ones. True to her spirit, Sherry was able to share one final joyful gathering — a backyard BBQ full of laughter, family, and friendship. In her final days, she was surrounded by her closest loved ones, held in their love and prayers.

Sherry will be missed more than words can express. Her light, her laughter, and her kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. Her life was a gift to all who knew her — a perfect example of love, strength, and joy.
